How does Loopia contribute to the environment? The manufacture of products is energy and raw material intensive. Around 60% of the total environmental impact of the Swiss electrical appliance trade occurs in the supply chain, i.e. in production, transport and disposal. The remaining 40% falls on the usage phase. With smartphones, the situation is even more extreme: 98% of the environmental impact is caused by production and disposal. It is therefore crucial that we use our electrical appliances and other products for as long as possible. With Loopia, we are creating a more sustainable world in which fewer new things are consumed and existing things are valued more. Devices should not be seen as disposable products, but as durable goods that can be repaired, shared, resold and recycled. In this way, we are all making a contribution towards the circular economy, in which product and raw material cycles are closed as far as possible.

Why should we work with Loopia? We can build this ourselves. The construction and operation of such a solution is complex and requires a lot of resources. On the other hand, you have to set up service partners and invest in marketing. All this costs you a lot of money and time. In addition, the benefit for consumers is much smaller if all retailers offer their own solution. Loopia is the first platform for circular economy in the use phase of products. You benefit from a product that is being rapidly further developed by an experienced team. Loopia maintains close partnerships for the holistic approach of the solution.
-
What is the implementation effort?Your implementation effort is limited to connecting the myAccount component of your shop to Loopia and depends on the API of your shop system. Please contact us for further information. Arrange a demo< /u>

What is Circularity as a Service (CaaS)?Circularity as a Service, or CaaS for short, is the circular economy software solution for retail. Retailers can connect Loopia to their shop system and thus take the step into the circular economy within a short time. With Loopia, your customers benefit from a comprehensive range of after-sales services without having to set them up yourself, "as a service".
-
Can I also offer my own services via Loopia? If you provide services for consumer goods yourself, you can use Loopia to make them available to a wider audience and boost their sales. If you don't offer any services, you can use Loopia's existing services and partners. You earn when your customers buy such services through Loopia.
-
What services is Loopia about?Loopia will offer its users the following services for consumer goods such as electrical appliances, sporting goods, children's items and furniture Give away and resell products Share and rent products Repairs and maintenance Buy spare parts and accessories Recycle products Information about the products - keyword: digital product pass With these services, you help your customers to extend and intensify their useful life and thus close the inner cycles.
-
Extending the useful life of products reduces our sales - why should we work with Loopia? It is true that by increasing the useful life, fewer products are sold. The change is in full swing: politicians in Switzerland and Europe are working intensively on the transformation of the linear into a circular economic system. Buying second-hand products, repairing and sharing consumer goods will become standard in the future. As a retailer, you have two options: 1. wait until the change has caught up with your company or 2. anticipate the change and use the resulting opportunities. The recycling economy offers retailers the opportunity to score points with customers with a comprehensive range of services in the use phase of the products and thus to differentiate themselves from the competition. With Loopia you can set up a circular service offer in a short time and with little effort. Your customers benefit from a top customer experience with easy and digital access to these after-sales services. By working with Loopia, you not only increase customer loyalty, but also create a new source of revenue. Best of all: You make an important contribution to achieving Net Zero and a sustainable society.
-
Do we have to share our customer data with Loopia? So that your customers can benefit from the platform, a connection to myAccount is required. If a customer decides to use Loopia, she must initially agree that the purchases may be transferred to the Loopia app. The transfer only takes place with the explicit consent of your customer.
-
How much will the solution cost me?We charge a license fee for the operation and further development of the solution as well as the marketing opportunities. Please contact us for more information. Arrange a demo< /u>

What are my advantages if Loopia works with many dealers? The first retailers benefit from a first mover effect and can play a pioneering role in the circular economy. But the advantages are more far-reaching: you can use Loopia to open up new sources of revenue, make a major contribution to the sustainable use of products and market this inside and outside the app. The more retailers that are on board, the easier it is for consumers to deal with products. With little effort, you have all products in one digital place and benefit from a comprehensive range of after-sales services.
-
What is a guarantee certificate? With the guarantee certificate, you can claim the guarantee from the retailer where you bought the product. Most dealers use the purchase receipt as a guarantee certificate. By the way, the law does not provide for any form of guarantee certificate and you can also show digital proof, e.g. a photo. You can find more information about this in this post.
-
Is there a new guarantee after a guarantee case?If you have to replace your product due to a warranty claim, a new warranty starts again. Because the dealer or seller recognizes the defect of the first product. The new product therefore has the two-year guarantee again. The same also applies to spare parts. These parts in turn receive a two-year statutory guarantee.
-
What rights do I have in the event of a warranty claim? If you report a defect or defect to your retailer within the warranty period, you have the right to have the goods repaired or replaced. According to the law, you could also demand the money back or insist on a purchase price reduction, but in most cases this is excluded by the seller in his general terms and conditions.
-
Is there a guarantee from the dealer or manufacturer? In Switzerland, there are two different guarantees: the dealer's or seller's guarantee and the manufacturer's guarantee. Dealer Warranty: In Switzerland, the dealer or seller is obliged to offer a two-year guarantee on a product sold. In this way, the retailer gives the customer a two-year guarantee that their product will not have any defects. The dealer is thus obliged to fulfill the guarantee obligation and cannot only refer to the manufacturer. An exclusion from the guarantee is only permissible if this has been contractually clarified. Manufacturer's Warranty: In contrast to the dealer guarantee, the manufacturer guarantee is not regulated by law. For this reason, the manufacturer can freely determine the scope and duration of the guarantee. The scope can be a repair or spare parts and the duration ranges from one to five years. It is important that the manufacturer's and retailer's guarantees are not mutually exclusive, but can exist alongside one another. So it may be worth checking both guarantees. Sometimes the manufacturer's guarantee is longer than the dealer's two years.
-
How can I submit a warranty claim?Unfortunately, this is retailer-specific and varies greatly. Certain retailers offer you a very convenient process, others refer you to the manufacturer's service point or you have to hand in the product in person at the store. Visit our Warranty Guide $Link to see the process at your favorite retailers.
-
How long is the guarantee period? In Switzerland, there is a general warranty period of two years for defects in products. A defect must be reported immediately. If the product is installed in an immovable structure (e.g. a house), 5 years even apply. The seller may not shorten this period. However, he can exclude the guarantee if he draws your attention to this before concluding the contract. You can find more about this in OR 210 para. 1.
-
Is an extended warranty worth it?After the legal guarantee period of 2 years, consumers can consider extending the guarantee for an electrical device or other products. The following points can help you decide: Service: Depending on the provider, there are very different services for a warranty extension. Some simply extend the warranty period, while others also offer additional services such as repairs. Think about which services you would like to have and look at the scope of services of the guarantee offers. Price: Warranty extensions can also differ greatly in price. Therefore, compare the prices of the different providers. Time: You will often be asked to extend the warranty when you buy a new one. It is best to check whether there is an option to only take out the extended warranty at the end of the statutory warranty period. And make sure that no automatic renewal is signed. Device type: Think about which device you would like to pay for an extended warranty. In the case of expensive large devices where a repair can be very expensive, the extension can quickly pay off. With other products, a guarantee is perhaps less worthwhile. Check your household contents insurance: Before you extend it, also briefly check your household contents insurance. Some claims are already covered by these.
-

What is a guarantee? The guarantee for products is referred to in law as a "warranty for defects in the purchased item" and is OR 197 ff regulated. If you report a defect or defect to your retailer within the warranty period, you have the right to have the goods repaired or replaced. According to the law, you could also demand the money back or insist on a reduction in the purchase price, but in most cases this is excluded by the seller in his general terms and conditions. Repairing the product makes the most sense from an ecological point of view. Tips Especially with high-priced purchases, it is worth spending a little more at the time of purchase in order to receive good service afterwards. If the dealer does not regulate anything, the regulations described in the law apply.
